Engaging Fathers in Children's Lives Part 1: An Overview

This course will help you to understand the importance of including fathers in your work with families. We will review the role of fathers in the family unit with an emphasis on the many ways that a father is critical to child development. You will learn what policies and practices are currently in place at agencies across the country. You will also learn how to engage fathers and include them in their childrens lives. A variety of interactive exercises and case vignettes challenge you to think through the specifics of how you can work effectively with the fathers of children you serve.
