Welcome to Shery Mead's on-line institute
Featuring courses from the Intentional Peer Support Curriculum written by Shery Mead
Welcome to Shery Mead's on-line institute.
On this site we are offering an array of courses from the intentional peer support curriculum.
These courses are designed to increase your knowledge of peer support as a tool for building healing,
non-clinical relationships.
Who should take these courses?
- Peers working in peer programs
- Members of peer programs
- People doing peer support in the community
- Peers working in mental health settings (including hospitals)
- Peer supervisors
- People wanting initial training for becoming facilitators of IPS
- Peers working in domestic violence, with veterans (or with
anyone with histories of trauma and abuse)
- Family members
- Clinicians both wanting a less medical approach to the people they serve
These courses are adjunctive and are not meant to take the place of
face-to-face Intentional Peer Support classes.
When you have completed a course you will receive a certificate of
achievement and continuing education credits. These can lead to new
positions in peer support and other areas of interest.
In addition you may decide to take other courses available on this site
that reflect IPS values and will enhance your IPS practice
