to the TIP Online Learning Center
TIP is a
collaborative training initiative of the NC Council of Community Programs and
the ASO, an administrative service organization for providers.
Through
a new arrangement with Essential Learning, MH/DD/SA
providers and LMEs can receive a 10% discount for any continuing education courses
purchased via this website. Each course provides concise, comprehensive and relevant
information that will help participants improve clinical competence, acquire
new skills and learn about current best practice.
Highlighted Courses.
Each month TIP highlights a few courses for you to consider. This month's courses are:
- Pandemic Influenza Preparedness
- WRAP: All About WRAP including an Overview of Research Findings, Values, & Ethics
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy: An Introduction
- Case Management Basics
If
you are a licensed clinician, select the appropriate accreditation for your continuing education
from the Accreditation drop down
box. If you are not licensed, select the
Generic Completion option from the
Accreditation drop down.
Browse
available courses by accrediting agency on the left,
read the course materials, and take your test. As soon
as you pass the test (with a score of 80% or higher)
you will be able to print your completion certificate.
Many
of the courses meet the continuing education requirements
of The
North Carolina Social Worker Certification and Licensure
Board. Simply select the ASWB
accreditation category to the left to select a course
that meets the Board's requirements.
To
find courses that meet The
North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors
requirements for continuing education for professional
counselors select the NBCC
accreditation category.
Courses
found in the APA
accreditation category can be used to satisfy Category
A requirements of the North
Carolina Psychology Board.

LME
and their affiliate providers may purchase blocks
of courses for their employees at an additional
discount. Member organizations interested in a
customized Learning Management System can contract
with Essential Learning at a special NC COUNCIL
