Now more than ever, psychiatric rehabilitation is gaining national recognition as the model of recovery. USPRA's partnership with Essential Learning provides an e-learning platform and online courses to assist USPRA in advancing the practice of psychiatric rehabilitation through quality education and training.

For Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP)-approved courses, select 'CPRP' under step one in the left column. Under step two, select either 'USPRA Courses' or, for all CPRP-approved courses (including those not designed by USPRA), select 'All Subjects'.

For USPRA courses that are approved for continuing education credits by other professional credentials, select the accrediting body under step one in the left column (e.g., NASW for your masters in social work). Under step two, select 'USPRA Courses' for a list of courses that have been pre-approved.

Whether selecting a CPRP-approved course developed by USPRA or one of the courses posted on this site from the Essential Learning library, you are assured that all course have been thoroughly vetted by appropriate USPRA committees to ensure adherence to the practices and principles of psychiatric rehabilitation. Levels of Learning

To help you find the online educational opportunity that is most relevant to you, we have assigned a level of learning to each program.

Introductory: Courses designed for individuals entering the psychiatric rehabilitation field; or for practitioners in the field for less than two years. Assumes you have little or no knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation.

Intermediate: Courses designed for individuals practicing in the psychiatric rehabilitation field one to two years and may be involved in some decision making at their agency. Assumes a general knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation.

Advanced: Courses designed for individuals practicing in the psychiatric field for more than five years and/or are a major decision maker at their agency, state or national organization. Tailored for participants who have a thorough knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation.
